This is the home of the Amateur Catholic® bloggers - or as we like to refer to ourselves, the B-team. We don't write books or do speaking tours. In fact, we barely do our jobs. That's not to say we're unambitious though... You see, this coalition is just the second phase our blogoshpere conquest. We suppose you could think of us as amateur crusaders too.

Membership will not bring you any money, perks, notoriety, or prestige - but you will get the privilege of proudly displaying the B-team badge on your blog! Lucky you, huh?

We like to hear ourselves talk just as much as the Professional Catholics® do, we just don't charge you for it. But hey give us a meal, free beer, and a designated driver, and we'll speak about breaking the Da Vinci Code or anything else you might care to hear about.

Pete: Amateur Catholic

Howdy,

I love the idea of the Amateur Catholic B-Team list - there are so many good thoughts and so few people that can get paid for them! As for my qualifications, I often say that I know I'm right when no one will listen to me, and so far I can't even get my wife to read my blog. I tell myself that must mean something.

My bio is simple. I was born and raised with just about no religion in my life and somehow eight years ago found my way (or more precisely, was led) to the Catholic Church. It is a wonder to this day that I didn't trip over my own two large feet on the way there. I have absolutely no blogging authority, but I do it anyway in the vain hope that it may some day make a difference. Does that qualify me for Amateur status?
