That's not to say we're unambitious though... You see, this coalition is just the second phase our blogoshpere conquest. We suppose you could think of us as amateur crusaders too.

Membership will not bring you any money, perks, notoriety, or prestige - but you will get the privilege of proudly displaying the B-team badge on your blog! Lucky you, huh?

We like to hear ourselves talk just as much as the Professional Catholics® do, we just don't charge you for it. But hey give us a meal, free beer, and a designated driver, and we'll speak about breaking the Da Vinci Code or anything else you might care to hear about.

A Shining City: Amateur Catholic

Dear Amateur Catholic Blogging Buddies-

I am a Roman Catholic who deeply believes that religion doesn't need the government's help to survive and flourish.

I would love to rip down every display of the Ten Commandments on public land and move them to be proudly displayed in front of my own house.

I would love to eliminate "In God We Trust" on our nation's coins and place that motto on each one of our hearts.

Yes, I am the rare "religious libertarian." I carry a rosary around in my pocket while preaching against the evil of organized prayer in public schools.

I know I might be a little confusing but I want to join your group! You look like quality people. I would be honored.
