This is the home of the Amateur Catholic® bloggers - or as we like to refer to ourselves, the B-team. We don't write books or do speaking tours. In fact, we barely do our jobs. That's not to say we're unambitious though... You see, this coalition is just the second phase our blogoshpere conquest. We suppose you could think of us as amateur crusaders too.

Membership will not bring you any money, perks, notoriety, or prestige - but you will get the privilege of proudly displaying the B-team badge on your blog! Lucky you, huh?

We like to hear ourselves talk just as much as the Professional Catholics® do, we just don't charge you for it. But hey give us a meal, free beer, and a designated driver, and we'll speak about breaking the Da Vinci Code or anything else you might care to hear about.

The Sci Fi Catholic: Amateur Catholic

I am an amateur Catholic blogger. Why do I call myself an amateur? I don't make any money. Why do I make no money? Because nobody clicks on my ads, that's why!

Over at The Sci Fi Catholic, we're dedicated to discussing the topics that today's Catholic blog-readers need to know, such as which science fiction authors use religious imagery, how science fiction and fantasy can improve the imagination and enrich your religious life, and why the last book I read was lousy.

The Sci Fi Catholic is dedicated to discussing the interplay between religion and science fiction. More than enough people have discussed the interplay between science fiction and science, so it's time we had our turn, don't you think?

I'm not quite sure what the difference is between pro and amateur amateur, but I once made ten bucks off a short story, so where does that put me?
