This is the home of the Amateur Catholic® bloggers - or as we like to refer to ourselves, the B-team. We don't write books or do speaking tours. In fact, we barely do our jobs. That's not to say we're unambitious though... You see, this coalition is just the second phase our blogoshpere conquest. We suppose you could think of us as amateur crusaders too.

Membership will not bring you any money, perks, notoriety, or prestige - but you will get the privilege of proudly displaying the B-team badge on your blog! Lucky you, huh?

We like to hear ourselves talk just as much as the Professional Catholics® do, we just don't charge you for it. But hey give us a meal, free beer, and a designated driver, and we'll speak about breaking the Da Vinci Code or anything else you might care to hear about.

Subject: Why you should say No

Dear Amateur Catholic,

Yes, it's true. You should say NO to my request to join your ranks. I'm amateur, so much that I get myself into trouble thinking I know too much (this is not restricted just to blogging - it is an aspect of my personality that often has my husband throwing up his hands, shaking his head, and I'm sure, using up the patience he has so much of). I post off-topic replies following my own train of thought, and I don't know how in the world to change things in this blog world (I believe martha, martha posted not so long ago about being html coding challenged, and I'm right there with her). I don't know if I even count as an amateur, because in a way I do make money off of my Catholicism - I'm our parish secretary here at a farm town in Ohio.

My Catholic blog is snoringscholar.blogspot.com. If you decide to grant me B-team status, I will say a novena for you all, because you just don't know what you're in for...
