This is the home of the Amateur Catholic® bloggers - or as we like to refer to ourselves, the B-team. We don't write books or do speaking tours. In fact, we barely do our jobs. That's not to say we're unambitious though... You see, this coalition is just the second phase our blogoshpere conquest. We suppose you could think of us as amateur crusaders too.

Membership will not bring you any money, perks, notoriety, or prestige - but you will get the privilege of proudly displaying the B-team badge on your blog! Lucky you, huh?

We like to hear ourselves talk just as much as the Professional Catholics® do, we just don't charge you for it. But hey give us a meal, free beer, and a designated driver, and we'll speak about breaking the Da Vinci Code or anything else you might care to hear about.

Cura Animarum: Amateur Catholic

Hi,

I was reading the blog of one of your members "CatholicNews.org" and came here after I applied for her "well-known Catholic convert blogger/apologist" poster possition. I don't think its a paid one and I havent' even heard from her yet but it soudned like she was having a baby in her last post so she probably won't get back to me until tomorrow or something. Also I only started bogging yesterday so I'll bet you don't have anyone quite as amateur as me at that.

Also I'm Catholic and have been for ten years now (though I'm stil waiting for the membership card which they say is in the mail but I haven't seen it yet). My blog isn't really funny but I've only just started it and I'm still not sure what kind of blog it's going to be something to do with writing fiction and non-fiction and maybe some complaining about trying to be a Lay Pastoral Minister in the church today but who knows.

I am part of the paid pastoral staff of our parish but you weren't really clear about whether you had to be an Amateur Catholic, Amateur Catholic Blogger or what. Does it help that even though I've been in a paid Pastoral Possition I still don't really know what I'm doing? I hope so I really really really REALLY want this BAD!
